I didn’t forget about my blog! I’ve been working on another pattern. I love this one. I do believe its going to be my favorite pattern I’ve ever done. (I think this of all my patterns while I’m at this stage.) It’s for a girl’s summer top, and it’s a crochet pattern. I’m working on perfecting the numbers, making test top after test top in several sizes. I believe I’m going to offer this in sizes 1, 2, 3, 4. I’m hoping that one week from now the pattern will be complete!

Scrappy Scarf

Here’s another freebie! This is a favorite of mine because it uses up stash… and I need to make a serious dent in my stash before I can even think of buying more yarn.

Size: 70″ long approx.
Yarn: anything and everything. The majority of the yarns I used are worsted weight, but there are also a couple of sport weight and bulky in there.
Needles: US 8 (circular 29″)

Cast on 250 with any color.
Row 1: Using a different color, knit this row.
Rows 2-39: same as Row 1
Row 40: Bind off using a different color.
Finishing: 2 at a time, tie ends together in a knot so they don’t unravel.

Tip #1: Leave approx 8-10″ on each end for fringe. After you are finished you can cut these even or leave them random lengths.

Tip #2: Cast on and bind off loosely to keep sides straight and even.

Blue Flower Headband

Let’s start this blog out right… with a freebie pattern! Decided this morning that my granddaughter’s outfit needed a headband. This literally took me less than 10 minutes to make, and barely used any yarn.

Size: Fits my (nearly) 4 yr old granddaughter’s head perfectly.
Yarn: anything worsted, and not much of it.
Hook: F (4.0mm)

Ch 77.
Row 1: dc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 1, *dc in next ch, ch 1* (repeat * to * until you reach end) end with a dc in the last ch. That’s it for the band! Cut yarn at least 12″ long, you’ll use this tail to finish the headband into a circle.

Flower:
Round 1: Ch 3, work 8 dc into the 3rd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc.
Round 2: *Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st into next dc* into each dc around. Cut yarn at least 12″ long. Should have 10 petals.
Center: I used a little white yarn to make a center, to make it more flower-like. Simply join by sl st to the top of any dc in Round 1, then sl st around the rest of that circle. Then ch 1, and sc in each sl st around. Join to beg of round with sl st. Cut yarn at least 12″ long. Use the yarn tails to sew flower to the headband. That’s it!
